Melissa Noonan

Melissa Noonan has her master's degree in higher education from Geneva College.  Melissa has spent the majority of her career working with high school and college students.  She is currently working on her second master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from UMASS - Boston.  She is also working part-time at High Point Treatment Center's Opioid Treatment Program.  Melissa believes in the mind, body, spirit connection and would love to integrate movement into therapy sessions.  She has a passion to serve those who are new to faith yet have old wounds that still need to be worked through and healed.  She also has a passion to serve those whose long term faith commitment has not insulated them or those they love from depression, anxiety or addiction.  Melissa also hopes to support individuals and families who are wrestling with gender identity and sexual orientation issues.  Melissa utilizes many aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy in order to cope with our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.  In addition, Melissa loves books and will integrate reading into her practice.  Melissa is currently reading The Healing Path by James Finley.  Memoirs are her favorite genre.  Melissa and her husband of 26 years share twin teenage daughters and they live on Cape Cod.
