Jamie Ekstrom, RD, LDN, CLC

Dietitian

Jamie Ekstrom is a registered dietitian who is passionate about helping people build a healthier, more positive relationship with food. She believes nutrition should feel personalized, practical, and empowering, not restrictive, and strives to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard and understood.

Growing up, Jamie's mother worked as a dietitian in food service. While that introduced her to the profession at an early age, Jamie quickly realized her passion was in working directly with people rather than behind the scenes. She was drawn to nutrition because of her desire to help others improve their health through sustainable lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes. She enjoys getting to know each client's unique story and partnering with them to develop realistic strategies that fit their goals, preferences, and everyday life. Whether supporting someone through a new diagnosis, navigating digestive concerns, improving eating habits, or building confidence around food, Jamie values meeting people where they are and celebrating progress along the way.

Jamie works with individuals across the lifespan, from infants and children to adolescents and adults. She has a special interest in gut health, women's health, chronic disease management, weight management, pediatric nutrition, feeding challenges, breastfeeding support, and disordered eating. Her approach integrates evidence-based nutrition with a whole-person perspective, recognizing the important connection between nutrition, lifestyle, and overall well-being.

Jamie earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics and completed her supervised dietetic internship before becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD) and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN). She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC). Throughout her career, she has worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community programs, and home-based settings, allowing her to care for individuals with a wide range of nutrition needs. She previously served as the State Professional Recruitment Coordinator and Diversity Liaison for the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and was honored as the 2024 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time at the beach, trying new foods, going on walks, lifting weights, relaxing with a favorite TV show, and making memories with family and friends.
