Body Work

Becky Phelan believes that a person is made up entirely of relationships: body, mind, and all our parts must work cooperatively in order for us to feel integrated, whole, and happy. She works primarily through touch, but has witnessed daily the profound impact bodywork has on each and every aspect of this complex relationship system.

Becky has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2011, when she completed training at The Massage School, based in Easthampton, MA. Since then, her bodywork practice has evolved to include much more than muscle relaxation, and she now considers the primary target of her work to be regulating the nervous system and fostering a sense of safety within the self. She finds her deepest fulfillment when a client learns something new and unexpected about themselves because they made the time on her table to go within and quietly listen.

Becky lives in Taunton, MA with her husband Mark, an artist and high school art teacher. She gets to spend a lot of time with her two oldest granddaughters, who live next door, as well as enjoying frequent visits with two more grandkids in Boston, and less frequent ones with her grandson in Oregon.
