Aislyn Plath is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who practices in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. After many years working in hospitality, Aislyn realized they were more fulfilled by the people aspect of the job than the business aspect and decided to go back to school to become a therapist. Aislyn has found so much fulfillment in this work and is frequently inspired by the stories and strengths of their clients. Aislyn is committed to creating a space for people to quiet the outside world and focus on caring for themselves and their relationships. Aislyn operates from a strengths-based perspective to normalize and affirm a client’s experience. Aislyn also operates from a systems perspective, through this work they have come to understand the importance of examining and questioning the systems within which we all live.
Aislyn comes to The Well with a B.A. from Trinity College and an M.S. in marriage and family therapy from Eastern Nazarene College. Additionally, Aislyn is certified in EMDR, a form of somatic therapy designed for clients with a history of trauma. Aislyn primarily works with young adults and adults.
When Aislyn is not working, they can be found swimming laps, cooking new recipes, or spending time in community.
