1000 Cranes Fundraiser
An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds one thousand origami paper cranes will be granted a wish. Our wish is to help eliminate financial barriers to our programs that help our community soar in mind, body and spirit. The Well has made a commitment to fold 1000 paper cranes this summer to help raise funds for our therapeutic Wellness Retreats for Kids this August .
You are invited to purchase a single crane or group of cranes. Each will carry a wish, prayer or intention: for yourself, your family, community or the world. Your wish will be written on a piece of 6”x 6” origami paper, carefully folded into a crane, and strung into a flock strand with other cranes.
As wishes are made, cranes will be folded. As cranes are folded, flocks will form and will be strung with glass beads separating each bird. When they are ready to fly, the birds will be hung at The Well for all to enjoy!
